SEASONAL WELLBEING CONSULTATION

Nature moves in cycles and so do we as humans. Life is just one big cycle made up of many smaller cycles – daily, monthly, yearly, biological rhythms are all part of the human biological life cycle.

Trust and faith in the process of life and tuning into nature’s cycles and rhythms and our own cycles and rhythms can allow us to live with ease, strength and grace. The ebb and flow of life is a continual moment to moment thing and when we can become more attuned to take care of ourselves by tending to our seasonal needs with essential oils and other natural wellbeing options.

This consultation explores each of the naturally elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) and how they relate to the seasons of nature and their interactions and relationship to our body, mind and soul, how we cycle through each of them, what they represent, how they flow through us and influence our wellbeing.

We begin with a tea sit, through drinking herbal tea mindfully together we create a sacred space, to prepare to connect fully and deeply with all aspects of yourself and of the elements.

Then exploring each of the elements to discover which element you identify most with and where you might be depleted or out of balance.

With a deeper appreciation of your elemental, cyclical self, together we will formulate a plan to develop a self-healing way of utilising all the elements for the fullest sense of wellbeing.

The plan will include appropriate essential oil, herbal teas, foods, Qi Gong forms and other lifestyle adjustments that are nourishing and nurturing and bring harmony so that the elements can support each other in their creation cycle .

Reflections:

When was the last time you truly felt the joy of being alive, connected to Papa-t`u-`a-nuku Earth Mother and Rangi-nui-te-p`o Sky Father and their rhythms or to yourself and your rhythms?

Our ancestors used to live their lives according to the seasons, but nowadays many people are disconnected from that, following the same routine day in and day out, even though the patterns of the season still underpin our daily lives.

To reconnect with your rhythms and elements and to nature’s rhythms and elements
